Kidney Cancer Symptoms: What They Are

Kidney Symptoms: What They Are
By George Finnerin

Each year, in the United States, thousands of men and women are
diagnosed with kidney cancer. Kidney cancer, like many other
forms of cancer, can be fatal, but it does not always have to
be. If you are able to receive an effective course of treatment,
you may able to live the rest of your life, free.
However, it is extremely important that you receive treatment in
a timely matter.

The early treatment of kidney relies on the early
detection. While your physician should be able to make the
official diagnosis, you are advised to be on the lookout for
common kidney symptoms. When understanding kidney cancer
and its symptoms, it is important to remember that you may not
display all of the symptoms; however, that does not mean that
you do not have kidney cancer. In the event that you display any
of the kidney symptoms, mentioned below, it is advised
that you seek medical assistance immediately.

Abnormal colored urine is urine that is discolored. This
discoloration is different than the traditional color, which
should be a yellow color. Many individuals will be able to
notice a chance in their urine color, but that is only if the
change has not already occurred. If you feel that the change has
already occurred and gone unnoticed, you are advised to be on
the lookout for urine that is dark, cloudy, or mixed with blood.
In fact, bloody urine is also another one of the many kidney
cancer symptoms.

Rapid weight loss is also considered a kidney symptom.
With kidney cancer, this weight loss often results in a
reduction of body mass up to five percent. It is important to
note as to whether or not your eating habits or exercise
patterns have changed. Often times, the weight loss associated
with kidney is sometimes confused with intentional weight
loss.

Flank pain is another one of the many kidney symptoms
that you may display, if you have kidney cancer. Flank pain is
also commonly referred to as side pain. In many cases, this pain
is often unbearable to handle, even if the pain does not occur
on a regular basis. This pain, even though it may not result
from kidney cancer, often signifies some sort of kidney trouble.
In addition to flank pain, abdominal pain and bank pain are both
considered kidney symptoms.

Weight loss, bloody urine, abnormal colored urine, and back,
flank, and abdominal pains are known as the most common symptoms
of kidney cancer. Although they are the most well known, they
are

not the only symptoms that you should look for. Additional
symptoms include paleness, constipation, and excessive hair
growth, especially in females. Although you should be on the
lookout for these symptoms, you may have a difficult
distinguishing whether or not your symptoms are signs of kidney
cancer. This is because many of these symptoms are often
referred to as common symptoms, meaning they are present among a
number of health related illnesses.

All of the above mentioned kidney symptoms, whether they
result in a diagnosis of kidney or not, are serious
health issues. These serious health issues should be disused
with a healthcare professional, such as your primary care
physician. Since a number of the above mentioned kidney cancer
symptoms can be difficult or impossible for a physician to
detect on their own, it is up to you to take responsibility for
your health. Whether you know for sure or not, as to whether or
not you display the symptoms of kidney cancer, it is still
advised that you seek medical assistance. The only harm will
come from not getting it.
